The Surface Water Section seeks to monitor and record hydrological information to ensure that surface water is of sufficient quantity and of high quality to satisfy the country’s economic and social needs. This is achieved through the establishment and maintenance of a hydrological monitoring network that records water level and discharge across select regions of Guyana.
