Historical Background / Description:
Located within close proximity to the Heroes of Moruca Monument is the Stephen Campbell Monument. This monument was built to commemorate the life of Stephen Campbell who was the first Indigenous person to be elected into Parliament on September 10, 1957. This monument was built with self-help in 1995.
